Marlborough Travel and New Zealand King Salmon have teamed up again to show Marlburians and visitors to the Marlborough region the Marlborough Sounds, salmon and the native birds of Kaipupu Point Wildlife Sanctuary. Get a taste of the Marlborough Sounds on this special cruise. Passengers get to go onboard Marlborough Travel’s Odyssea to cruise around the Kaipupu Point, visit the native bird sanctuary, then head onto Ruakaka Bay to feed the salmon; learning about the Marlborough Sounds along the way. New Zealand King Salmon will again provide free tastings and a few spot prizes, to add to an already fabulous half-day out. The Kaipupu Point Wildlife Sanctuary committee again welcomes everyone to come and experience the wildlife sanctuary, situated on a beautiful headland of coastal bush just out of Picton. An enthusiastic team of volunteers and ready to welcom people onto the reserve, and give a talk about their conservation work and the native birds now making Kaipupu Point home.

Cruise Itinerary for 3.5 hour cruise:
- Check in at MV Odyssea at Picton Marina 15 minutes prior to cruise departure
- Cruise departure out into Queen Charlotte Sound
- Visit Kaipupu Point for a guided walk through the Wildlife Sanctuary
- Visit the King Salmon Farm in Ruakaka Bay to feed the Salmon
- Arrive back into Picton marina
